October Farmer's Market

The Sunday drive lead us to East Nashville to gawk at all the beautiful bungalows being restored and then on to the Farmers' Market for a heavy dose of fall color.

The apple aficionado was in heaven.  Myself, I brought home a few green tomatoes to fry up.  I'm always searching for the ultimate: crab cake, meatball, chicken fried steak, Rueben, shrimp scampi and fried green tomatoes.  I will be trying out Bonnie's recipe tomorrow.

In the meantime, the porch at the Ranch is dressed for Fall 2010.

I love fried green tomatoes. I usually use corn meal but have done them with flour. Corn meal is my favorite method. Eat some for me.

T'would seem the Baj porch is naked this fall. Much as it has been for summer, spring and winter too. Alas.
