The first thing you need to know is that the People of The Ranch, though gainfully employed now, are still on a tight budget.
The second thing you need to know, I have been on a Foo Dog quest since seeing some amazing Foo Dog lamps at a hip, boutique type store in Nashville. They were $300 each.
The third thing, I love the blogs, Chinoiserie Chic and House of Turquoise.
Allow me to present the newest mascot at The Ranch, only $14.99 at Home Goods!
He's found a home in the "Room of Turquoise", the master bathroom.
Foo Dogs are supposed to ward off evil spirits so this bathroom is a great spot for him as my 5 year old hears knocking in the shower when he is using the facilities. I finally convinced him it was just the pipes in the wall, but it's always good to have backup!
I can't wait for my husband to see this! I'm sure he is going to be thrilled! Such a patient, indulging soul.

HaHa, you are too cute! I simply love that name Foo Dog. It is a lovely color. I called my child FooFoo for a very long time. Have a swell week! hugs♥olive
A great foo dog! And what a "steal"!
Congratulations!
Love Home Goods and Maxx -- expensive items for us budgeters!
Cracking up over this. Fantastic foo.
The color IS great ! It is always nice to have a quest and be able to find what you need. This is a great look.(I also love Chioiserie Chic!
Foo Who? -- Until this day, I had never heard of a "foo dog." I had to look it up just to make sure you weren't smoking some wild & wacky weed there on the Ranch.
Your bloofoo looked familiar to me, though. Then it hit me. When I was a kid on the island of Okinawa, those things were everywhere. BUT -- the foo dog is known as the "Shi Shi" in Japan.
When we lived there, we had a lovable little mutt that we named Shi Shi. While everyone in Okinawa understood the name, no one in the subsequent states of Montana, California, or Oklahoma knew why the heck we named her that.
My mother was a lover of all decorations Asian. Consequently, you couldn't swing a dead cat in our living room without smacking down a Shi Shi of one kind or another.
