Let the projects begin!!!

I got the long awaited picture light this Christmas!  I no longer have to stand over the "bar" with a flashlight for mood lighting!

What a relief!  Now..........it's time to change that wall color.  Before we moved in, I was happy with the neutral paint colors, tiles, flooring etc.  Believe me, we lucked out in finding THIS house.  I could tell you horror stories about other ranches we looked at to rent.  One of them was so bad, I came home and went directly to the shower!

So here we go ...................off to the paint store!  Good bye anemic walls, hello Wheat Grass (I think).

I think any color with a touch of gold in it would really compliment your furnishings/drapes.... Good luck! At the moment I have 12 paint chips taped to my hallway wall! LOL HATE choosing paint! Always rule out all but four colors and then purchase samples and paint on the wall first....

Thanks Terri! Wheat Grass is actually a goldy green- if there can be such a thing. The next color down is called Edgy Gold so I must be on the right track. Fingers crossed.

Verra nice, verra nice. You get to take the light with you if you ever move, right? Is the header photo new? I like.

Thanks verra much Tee. The header IS new. I thought I would keep the original one forever, but I have to give the people what they want. I guess that means I'll be tablescaping again this year. I know you're excited!

Hi Dana, I love to pick out paint colors and love to see a room when it is finished and I have done all the work myself. During the process I am not so thrilled. I can't wait to see your room as it is beautiful already. ♥O

No standing above or ON the bar...
Now I am obsessed with finding about
Wheat Grass.
I am so easily swayed!

Thanks Olive, you are too, too kind! My husband just found out about my plan, via the blog. He's actually with me on this one!! Don't misunderstand, he is always supportive and encouraging, he just hates to paint and I always seem to rope him in on the project.

Not so fast there, baby sister. I've already changed from Wheat Grass, currently leaning toward Baguette. These are both Sherwin Williams colors. I have promised myself to make the commitment TOMORROW! Fiddle dee dee!

Dana,
I think you would like the wheat grass once you got it on the wall but the other color sounds good too.
The 2 interior designers I used to work for painted their focal wall wheat grass and everyone who came into the store loved it! It was gorgeous and went with everything they staged in front of it.
