It's not perfect yet. I'm a plate hanger short and OF COURSE I have to get some flora in there, but here it is so far -
I love this guy.
And here's me being clever. I LOVE books and still have about every one I've ever owned. Therefore, I was able to copy pages from some beloved childhood books onto card stock and voila!
You can't get that from a Kindle!!!

Best wishes

How clever indeed! The book artwork is amazing. Your chalkboard is pretty too. We have very similar ones. Mine is in a silver frame.
Lovely darling. The art work is about eight kinds of awesome. I have a large amount of disdain for e-readers.
Great idea to copy childhood favorites! You are a clever woman! I agree about the Kindles, etc. I just love the feel & look of a book.
Dana,
I have almost every book I've ever read also, can't bring myself to give them away and have read a lot of them over and over! Book art is a great idea! Love your Santa, he's adorable.

You're such a creative soul, girlfriend. I love the artwork! Thanks for your comment - I had no idea, but you are now even more of an inspiration to me. And you are right about vacations giving a fresh perspective. Now if we could just figure out a solution to the laundry mountain!
You're off to a great start! I also have a difficult time parting with books -- love your idea of framing copies of artwork from childhood favorites! You can have your book and see/display it too!
Your Santa reminds me of my own...... equatorial issues.
I'm running out of belt-loops!
