In the Mood........

for autumn!  After a lovely morning at the flea market yesterday I am officially ready for a change of seasons.  Look what I found!

My newest love.......a vintage cast iron bank.  I believe Fall is the most nostalgic season with family holidays on the way, wood smoke in the air and brilliantly colored leaves against the sky and lying on the ground.  I will certainly set aside an afternoon to re-read To Kill A Mockingbird.  Enjoy your week!

That certainly is a lovely thing - and so unusual!

The bank is full of Halloween vintage goodness. I just re-read Mockingbird last month as this is the 50th anniversary of it's publication. Have a lovely week! hugs♥olive

So many of my blogging pals find great things at flea markets. I'm going to start going. Here's my problem. I have no idea where to find a flea market!! Are they advertised? Do you just stumble onto one? I'm serious here. I've never seen one in the Chicagoland area!!

LOVE that bank!

Best,
Bonnie

Good find at the flea market! I just read To Kill a Mockingbird again. Did you read The Help yet? It's excellent.

Great finds at the flea market! Love your blog and absolutely love your style. So nice to see someone decorate with some color. Nice to browse through again.

Too cute! I LOVED that book, and the movie. For me, I have to reread "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and any mountain folklore stories. I think it's because we must have read those in the fall when I was a child. And I missed your tablescape below!! Oh my goodness I love that transferware! Gorgeous as always!

Incredibly lovely cast iron bank,
a truly great find!
(Now don't tell me that it also was a bargain! *giggles Would make me green with envy: Anything half-way nice is pricey here, even at flea markets, at least in my experience.)
